I had a really long weekend in Rome. I loved some of it, and hated a lot of it. I was happy to get “home,” but then I found out that not only is there no personal email or anyone online, but no one has updated their blogs. It’s really sick that my mood should sometimes depend on the frequency of other people’s blog updates, but I never claimed to be all that healthy.
I suppose the crux of the problem is that despite seeing so many beautiful things this weekend, and “hanging out” in “cool places” with “fun people,” I hardly connected with anyone at all. The more crowded the bars were, the more alone I felt.
